Renee is a California Licensed and Certified Professional Midwife. She has been assisting mothers have their babies since 1999. In 2002 Renee became the Lactation Consultant for the City of Los Angeles. She has won several national and local awards for her corporate lactation program.

• At last count, Renee has logged well over 5000 hours as a lactation consultant.
For those moms that are not quite ready to have their baby at home but desire a natural birth in a hospital, she offers advanced labor support. As a midwife, she can safely provide care to you while you labor at home or the birth center and then go with you to the hospital when the time is right. For many women, this is a great option and they love having the continuous support of a midwife along with the care of their obstetrician.
Renee has also been teaching childbirth and breastfeeding classes since 1999. She has logged over 5000 hours as a lactation consultant. Renee teaches both privately and in small groups. In addition to teaching childbirth and breastfeeding to expectant parents, she also teaches breastfeeding at the local college to the nursing students before they "go out on the floor" in the hospital and begin their clinical training as nurses. It is Renee’s hope that if she’s not teaching a woman personally, one of the nurses she has trained is helping that woman once she has given birth.
Renee’s journey first started as a mom in 1996, when she had her first son. With all the knowledge gathered as a pregnant mom, Renee started working unofficially as a birth doula and lactation educator. Renee’s second son was born at home in 1999. At that time she became certified as a birth doula, childbirth and lactation specialist. Renee’s practice grew from helping friends to helping other expectant moms in the community.
Given all that Renee does in her professional life, her most rewarding job is being a mom to two great kids; and a wife to a wonderful and supportive husband, without his support (even with those calls at 3:00am) she wouldn't be able to do what she does.
